Unusual collection of Austrian stamps and cancels. First, all of the stamps are canceled with a 1969 cancel from Vienna. Then, the Austrian hockey stamp (aus-19670317-s-001) is shown along with a modified example of the stamps first day of issue cancel(see cancel group #1). The first day of issue for this stamp was March 17, 1967 but the hockey stick cancel is dated March 16, 1967. There was also a last day of the tournament cancel identical to the first day of issue cancel except for the date, where it was March 29, 1967 (see cancel group #2). The purpose of this item is unknown.
